The show open for the production 5 Rue Sesame.
Sesame Street is a production of Sesame Workshop, a nonprofit educational organization which also produces Pinky Dinky Doo, The Electric Company, and other programs for children around the world.
So if this show only lasted one season, what's the most popular French television show aimed at children and what does it have over Sesame Street?

@eskilla: I've already added you as a friend, and I've subscribed to you, too.
And I have friend lock?

@TelephoneRock4ever I just tried to send you a long reply, but you have friend lock :( Could you possibly add me as a friend, at least temporarily? I don't want to clutter up a Sesame Street video with talk about foreign languages XD

@eskilla: You just made me feel so much better now. :-) I've taken Spanish classes in high school for my junior and senior years (made A-plusses in both classes, too), and I have a Spanish phrasebook to study up for when I go to Spain in the future.
Oh yeah, and I'm learning Italian, too. It's a fun language. ^__^

@TelephoneRock4ever Oh, I don't speak german either :) And I don't know all that much French - very basic conversational stuff. You don't have to apologize, you were just asking a question :)
But, hey - if you ever want to learn French, German or any other language, you should give it try. It's not as impressive or hard as it looks, and the younger you are when you start the easier it is. I'm learning Spanish on my DSi right now :D

@eskilla: I know "Sesamstrasse" is the German Sesame Street. I was just pointing out the similarities in pronunciation between the first half of "Sesamstrasse" and the last half of "Rue Sesame".
I apologize for this, as I don't speak French or German.

@TelephoneRock4ever Well, first of all, "Sesamstrasse" is the German Sesame Street (and Rue Sesame the French). And second of all, it sure sounds like the muppets are saying sess-ahm (or perhaps sez-ahm - French has this weird half-z-half-s sound).
So, I don't know what the German rules would be for saying sesame, but it doesn't really apply to this anyway..
