I talk about how to respond if The System decides you're guilty of some crime. The System's options are:
1) Fine you
2) Imprison you
3) Impose community service

Play for #2 because that costs the system. If #1, simply hide your wealth so they can't confiscate it. If you must choose #3, then do your best to sabotage whatever operation you're forced to contribute to.

  • You're not kidding! A mechanic can do so much damage you wouldn't believe! I can make any machine die without it being obvious that it was sabotage.

  • >I can make any machine die

That reminds me of a mistake I made accidentally. I was doing a friend a favor, he was a limo driver, and he was changing out the brake pads on the limo. I swapped them out, but by mistake I put the pads in backwards so the metal was touching the disc instead of the pad.

Needless to say this tore the brake disc apart, making it unusable, and it had to be replaced later. I was ashamed of my error.

The brakes still worked though -- they performed their purpose.

  • Two thumbs up.

  • "They" have no power over you that you do not give them.

This is why public opinion polls, like presidential approval ratings, are given so much attention. If you can't move at least 51% of the people then you aren't making any real material progress. It's just the illusion of progress, or bulldozing.

It's good to see that someone else out there is thinking for themselves.

  • every american that does not own land is by nature a slave. You go to work and get a salary which is taxed, then you have to pay for land to live on, even though God gave land to everyone, not just some rich elitists. So after the government taxes you and the banks take your money for land, then the insurance agencies make you pay home insurance and auto insurance, now your paycheck is dwindling and you have to buy food and gas, at the end of the month you have about 1% of your paycheck. Scam

  • This reminds me the time when I was forced / fooled to serve in the army. I used that opportunity to seek soldiers who needed a little "push" to get out. Finally after 8 months I went to the psychiatrist and played insane. I made about 10 people leave this boring and stupid organization during my "service". It's a pleasure to save lives. Many of those soldiers sign up for university right after leaving. Now that's planning ahead.

  • One little thing I know: prison don't cost them money. It's a fallacy. Each prisoner (who signs his name when he gets in like a good boy,) generates revenue upon a BOND created for him while in prison. Foreign currency exchange issues. I guess that's the root cause for the similarities in "crime statistics" / rate in western countries who's police force gets educated by the IPA organization.

  • You're right, that must be it.

  • >I'm a truly awesome friend.

    ...

    >"with friends like that who needs enemy's"

I think rev4kane was referring to me, here I was trying to help my friend out and ended up causing him some grief...

  • RRRRonnnggg!

I'm a truly awesome friend. But you're right, I'd make a terrible enemy, and a truly horrible slave.

  • Dash, I wouldn't worry too much about the mandatory community service schemes.

It would be really hard considering the deteriorating situation a lot of people are in and the materialistic/impatient mentality most people have bought into.

I think if they did manage to implement some kind of voluntary public service ploy there wouldn't be a lot of volunteers and whatever they did get up and running would be very short lived.

People have the "I been screwed, want free ride" mentality.

  • >so Obama wants to have obligated voluntary labor for the people?

I've heard it as a rumor, from YouTube I think. And it's in keeping with the socialism theme. Just the kind of response a bankrupt government might take: "For the good of us all, we must each serve the collective for a part of every year. Comrade."
