Bob Marley & Wailers with the song Guiltiness, live at the Rainbow Theatre, London - June 1st. 1977.

This was the first of four concerts at the Rainbow, the last one have been released on DVD, romours say all shows are videotaped.
The tracklist of this concert began just like the Exodus album:
1. Natural Mystic
2. Guilitness
3. So Much Things To Say
4. Heathen

This is the only known concert with Guiltiness. Guitar solo by Junior Marvin, 4:32

Lyrics:
Guiltiness (talkin' 'bout guiltiness)
Pressed on their conscience. Oh yeah.
And they live their lives (they live their lives)
On false pretence everyday -
each and everyday. Yeah.

These are the big fish
Who always try to eat down the small fish,
just the small fish.
I tell you what: they would do anything
To materialize their every wish. Oh yeah-eah-eah-eah.

Say: Woe to the downpressors:
They'll eat the bread of sorrow!
Woe to the downpressors:
They'll eat the bread of sad tomorrow!
Woe to the downpressors:
They'll eat the bread of sorrow!
Oh, yeah-eah! Oh, yeah-eah-eah-eah!

Guiltiness
Pressed on their conscience. Oh yeah. Oh yeah.
These are the big fish
Who always try to eat down the small fish,
just the small fish.

I tell you what: they would do anything
To materialize their every wish. Oh, yeah-eah-eah-eah-eah-eah.

But: Woe to the downpressors:
They'll eat the bread of sorrow!
Woe to the downpressors:
They'll eat the bread of sad tomorrow!
Woe to the downpressors:
They'll eat the bread of sad tomorrow!
Oh, yeah-eah! Oh yeah-e-e-e-e-e!

Guiltiness. Oh yeah. Ah!
They'll eat the bread of sorrow everyday.

  • Nice Version Without The Horn Section, BTW The Last Pic Reminds Me Of The Show @ Rainbow Theatre Thats On DVD. If You Look @ The Song "Crazy Baldhead/Running Away" Bob Does Give The I-Threes That Glance In That Same Stance. The Video I'm Refering to is Posted By Islandrecords Youtube Account Titled, "Bob Marley - Crazy Baldhead (Live)" @ around 6:14

  • @Nattydreadtour75

Good observation but I'm pretty sure that picture was taken at the Beacon Theatre, NY in april 1976.

  • Bob Marley is The Tough Gong.

  • @Nattydreadtour75 Its cool you noticed that, it is similar, and in the dvd special features, the engineer mentioned that although Bob would seem pre-occupied singing and entertaining the crowd, he would take note of errors during performance. In Rita Marley's book, she said that Bob took their performances seriously and would chastise them later...esp if he noticed a change in key. Good observation though

  • This song never dies, for it is like prophecy! It fits the crooked of every generation. Obama... etc... food industry...
