  • @iJay842 The flight at Mach 3 60 cm of the wing were stripped away. Also the second Valkyrie was destroyed during a flight in formation with other planes for a photographic service. an F-104 that flew too close to the Valkyrie got its left wing stuck in the Valkyrie´s right wing and flew over the Valkyrie destroying its vertical stabilizers and its " vertical wings " and causing it to crash.

  • @iJay842 The TU-144, toghether with the concorde are 2 planes that took many desing parts from the CB-70 Valkyrie, even if the form isn´t exactly the same. Only 2 test planes of the Valkyrie have ever being bulit, one that could reach Mach 1.42 but during another test flight the centrall wall of the intakes was " sucked" in the engines and irreparably damaged them. The second one could reach Mach 3, but was stopped at Mach 2.5 due to structural problems in the honeycomb on the wings, wich during
