Some 35 years ago, a friend of mine came into my sound studio with this album under his arm. I cued up Side One, Cut One - Aurora ... and have not been the same since. Therewith started a love affair with Ralph, Paul, Glen and Collin (RIP), and even after the loss of their wonderful sitarist, they kept on keepin' on, adding Mark Walker in 1997.
That they continue to make astonishing music after fully 40 years is a testament to their musicianship and ensemble.

I remember my parents having "Always Never and Forever" in their CD library when I was 7. 14 years later, with the advent of electronic libraries, I can finally revisit myself flipping through these cd tracks in awe.

Overwhelmed. THANK YOU for posting. First listened to this track 30 years ago.
Appreciate the memories you have "synchronized" with my fond memories back then!
I love Jazz but as a visual person it always makes me feel as if I'm in an urban environment full of city life people and buildings. OREGON made me feel like I was in nature. this is why i loved them sinceI was 15. This is on e reason why I connect to them

Aurora takes me back to the woods, those barefooted dudes playing their instruments. The sound of an oboe still haunts me.Icarus by Ralph Towner reminds me of those summers too. I just looked and I have Distant Hills, Our First Record and the Essential Oregon, by Oregon. By Ralph Towner I have Solstice and Diary. Have several albums by the other guys in the group. I'll keep looking.
