Before every home game the Spartan Marching Band marches from the practice field to the stadium down the road and across the bridge over the Red Cedar River. The trek is lined with cheering fans as the drum line plays and the band strikes up the MSU fight song. This was filmed on Saturday, November 3, 2007 before the MSU/U of M game.

  • @MagnusLegatus I'm surprised then that the conference stopped using leather helmets. There's nothing wrong with looking modern while still having traditions.

  • @24Lancelot Because all of our bands were made prior to the 20's. That's part of the Big 10 tradition and no Big 10 fan would have it any other way. Especially the SMB and the OSUMB.

  • Why is it so many Big 10 school's bands have uniforms that look like they were designed in the 20s? I'm glad to see Nebraska bring something that at least looks like it was made in the last 2 decades.

  • Thumbs up if you have a U of M Abuses Cats! peta ad in your top-right.

  • @1elizabeth95 Spacing sideways is discretionary in terms of how much space you need to do a dip flash (horn move) without hitting someone. Spacing between lines is four steps, with a bit more for tubas. It's not an 8 to 5 pace, it's just set by the drum major at the front and varies on turns.

  • @gappyg

    Hell yeah we do!

  • Nice performance

  • I grew up @ Spartan Stadium. I was there in the Muddy Waters years also Perles, Sabin years and I'm still loving thier football.

When the Band takes the field:

Go STATE! Go STATE! Never gets old.

I like Dantonio. I love the Red Cedar and East Lansing. It's like I finally come home with every football game.

    WE ARE ONE.
