Well, in this short video of mine here, in Final Fantasy Mystic Quest for the Super Nintendo, that not only does Benjamin using the claw increase his magic damage by twenty points in battle and increase his magic power in general outside of battle, and that he seems to almost always attack first when using the sword, but that also you find out mostly why that is, since that when you go into the Status screen and switch the weapons around as well, that you find out that also the stats are different for each weapon, like the Knight sword increases his speed by five points and the claw increases his magic stat by five points.

  • ??? there is no increase, its different weapons so they all have different strengths, .

  • Oh, Arcane, that I was also simply noting about the simple fact that him having the claw equipped also increases his magic power stat and that him having the sword equipped also increases his speed stat, huh :).

  • @wiigcnds It also can inflict ailments. there's a percentage to how often they will take effect, but the paralyze and sleep will help, and when you get the dragon claw, it's petrify effect, instantly killing the foe, will be helpful for a lot of monsters.

  • @Arcane1Soldier the knight sword and Excalibur raise your speed by 5 points and the claws add 5 to magic. Axe starts off stronger than sword for first and second tier, but by the time you get Excalibur, you'll only be using the Giant's axe when fighting enemies weak to it, which by then is very scarce. Bombs start off the strongest and they hit everyone, but it doesn't get stronger when you level up, making it the weakest weapon unless you're fighting those weak to it.

  • Oh, so that's what's so special about the claw? I was beginning to think it was worthless. xD

  • @X4v10r Ohh i see. Kool. This game rocks and always be one of the best.

  • Thanks for this new hint ! :)

  • LOL I bought this game on SNES. I think its the only true RPG game I ever bought!
