Tow strap breaks and goes through glass

Trey takes his ram charger through a deep mud hole. Then the wal-mart strap broke and shattered his back glass, cracked the front, and almost hit the passenger. One good reason not to use cheap-o straps!

The strap didn't break, you can see the hunk of metal from the other truck on the dodge's dash. straps do not have that kind of momentum unless there is a hunk of metal attached to the end. which is why you don't use straps with hooks.

@l337pwnage Yes it did break, the strap was wrapped around the bumper. It broke the strap but both hooks were still attached.

@RYANBTB Ok, I got it now, thanx. The strap was CUT by the bumper and the hook stayed attached to the cut part of the strap because of they way you rigged it. Straps do not recoil like that without a piece of metal attached to them.

I could imagine someone wrapping an recovery strap around a bumper because recovery straps have no hooks, but the result would be the same except no broken window.

I have no idea why you wouldn't use the hook on the bumper or frame if you had a hook, lol.
