Got the same meters and same pod also. Only in green because it's a WRX, not an STI. Still going strong after almost 2 years now.

They're DSD SLMII gauges - EGT & BOOST. Both go like this - it's the stepper mechanism. I've asked the producer. The initial sweep-up goes linear but after that they don't. I must say they are quite accurate so it doesn't bother me any more but I will make a video of it and will post it on YT ;)

are these mechanical or electrical gauges? I've bought the electrical ones and the needle doesn't go as smooth as Yorus - goes like a seconds counting needle in a watch ;( Are they broken?

is it DSD line? How many gauges do you have? Only one of them is like that or all of them? During the initial sweep-up it should go at a linear speed and come back. These come with warranty. If you think it doesnt work properly contact the vendor and get a new one
