@terratrema Are you a troll? :)
-
Nope. The only worthwhile, trustworthy critic who exists is Kermode.
You're dead wrong. Sorry to break it to you.

@MrHarrylime79 I didn't find either of them to be funny.

If Kermode would sort his barnet - then I would be able take him seriously.
-
Paul Blart Mall Cop is 20 times funnier than Observe and Report and that doesn't say too much.
-
Scorsese has also said that he thinks Pukin is De Niro's finest performance.

This film reviewer is ATROCIOUS. Ugh.

Marks cynicism makes him cliche sometimes. It's the easiest thing in the world to wreck a comedy by being serious. If you're looking at a scene in a comedy movie through the optic of a court of law your criticism is unqualified. The ultimate testament to that is that Mark doesn't understand that King of Comedy wasn't really a comedy. It was a drama about comedy. It was looking at a similar character dramatically. Observe and Report looks at him comedically.
You're ignoring the director's own words; "The only comedy inspired by Taxi Driver" If the director himself has forgotten his own research material, then it doesn't exactyly bode well for his overall capability now, does it??
Arguing with Mark Kermode-it's not for greenhorns, son.

Kermode is Totally right, Rogen and his ilk (Apattow etc) are a stain on the face of cinema today... I don't know what type of braindead people his movies appeal to...
