That's happened to me. I've given the same exact routine, one audience was cracking up hysterically, the other watched in stunned silence like I was nuts. You are funny, I have seen a couple of your other videos. In this one you were walking on the laughs some, and rushing a bit, so it was a little hard to follow at times. I think practicing your timing, and making the most of the pauses, to bring out the audience responses would make a big difference.

keep your chin up, I cant wait till i get the dead silence one day, like you said all the greats go through it "your on your way".

I did NOT think that was a bad set at all. Actually, if you follow a group of bad comedians, it's harder to get laughs. It's almost like the audience has accepted the fact that they won't laugh based on previous performances. Anyways, good-luck with future shows. Come to Austin sometime.

That stuff happen, keep on going.
It's just the state of mind of the public.
Positive energy!

you well make it....keep your chin up & good luck
Dude, I'm a 24-year-old guy who recently graduated from Rice, and I thought you were funny. It was a good routine, bro. Your audience was just being unnecessarily hard on you. Lemme know the next time you'll be in town telling jokes again. I'd show up to support you!

@futurebiomedman Thanks man, that means a lot to me. I do plan on coming back, because I'm not going to let that night discourage me.

Well the only thing you can do is try again, its common not to get laughs doing stand up, but all people having different tastes in humour. Good luck for your future performances

Yeah, most of the jokes had been done before 5 comedians had gone up, but that was a tough crowd.
The Indian guy was the best.
If that was my first time on stage I probably would have been bummed out, but I'm not.
