it's interesting to see how Bill was just interested in talking about his relationship with God whereas Shabir was only talking about proofs and stuff. I guess this is what Christianity about, as he was saying, that it's not about doing religion. It is about relationship with God, and no one can take that away from us. Facts and proves can only bring you so far, but for Christians, that's hardly significant in our walk with God.

@729264boy Facts and proof should make a difference in your relationship to God or otherwise you may end up deluding yourself and end up living a lie. The evidence suggest that the Jesus of history never went around teaching that he was God but that he was a servant of God and would be horrified at people worshipping him in the way that they do today. Why not go to where the evidence leads us.

@Nazam44 In Matthew 14:33, Jesus was not horrified when his disciples worshipped him. If you read the Bible, he did go around saying that he is God. The reason why the Pharasees (religious leaders) of his days were so incensed by what he said is because they knew exactly what his claims were, ie he is God.

@729264boy The verse you cited is an example of evolution taking place in the gospels. In Mark the disciples do not worship Jesus as the do in Matthew but they disbelieve due to their hard hearts (Mk 6:52). In Mt the disciples do not respond with disbelieve but with believe in Jesus' sonship (14:33). Matthew has improved the story to show that Jesus is the Son of God.

@729264boy According to Jesus the reason why the Pharisees wanted to kill him was not because he was claiming to be God but because he was a man who spoke the truth which he heard from God (Read Jh 8:40) The Pharisees according to John were liars and they were children of the devil.

Islam is not the true path that leads to heaven.I was deceived for many years until Jesus opened my eyes to see the truth!

Whenever Muslims and Christians have a debate, the Muslims will always win it. That shows alot about who is right and who is not. Christianity = blind faith and illogical. Islam = the true religion, reasonable

Here is the solution. Ditch them both, they are a myth anyway. It has been 2000 years and there still is no proof of the existence of any god. Get real and live in the real world, worshipping myths and legends in this day and age is dillusional.

@729264boy Proof ,evidence ,substantiation and authentication , is not acceptable to you????? You say just your relationship with God is enough. This is called BLIND FOLLOWING in case you had not realised. Islam gives us a closeness to God that is uncomparable to other religions. Muslims have a direct relationship with the Creator, no middle people. So if I offer you a "gold bar" and want 20,000 in return , you telling me you are going to take MY word for it without proof? NO WAY!

if jesus was God then i could go around calling myself jesus... anyone could do that... jesus was a prophet and messenger of God... God is not like His creation and His creation is not like God

In Christianity if it sounds Good than its right even if there is no sources of the literature,In Islam the teachings are logical .

Christianity came from Rome, and they were convinced that Jesus was a reincarnation of mythra. its so obviously based on mythra with the same story, doctrines and festivals, Anyone can look this up and its not disputed. when Rome finally declared Jesus was very god,(in around the year 325) its because they believed Jesus was Mythra.

Rev Bill seems like a good guy, genuinely just yearning to find God - really find God. When you're like that, you are so tired of searching and desperate to "find God" that you try to convice yourself of things you know deep down don't make sense. Kind of like other Christians who are passionate, kind of like how I used to be. May he be guided to and accept the truth one day, inshaAllah.
