On Nov 7, 2008 we made the painful decision to let Katie, our 17 year old border collie go. Katie was quite simply a magnificent dog. She will be missed dearly...

  • Awww she looks so beautiful! And amazing she has lived for sooo long. You must be wonderful owners to have a dog to live that long. I am really sorry for your loss.

  • awe your video gave me chills. she reminds me of my dog that i recently lost. beautiful dog, rest in peace Katie <3

  • Katie was such a lucky girl...i also have a border collie named Trudy she's now 12 years old and she looks like katie, hope i can have her here with me for many years...

    thanks for sharing

  • Oh my gosh I just saw this and am in tears now! We have a Border Collie named Katie too! We have lost two dogs over the past 2 1/2 years, most recently our 14 yr old Wire Fox Terrier, Tucker. If we didn't think we'd ever see them again this hole in our hearts would be too painful. Thank you for sharing your Katie with us all!

  • Lovely video, thanks for sharing it

  • I reckon Robert L. Stevenson was correct.

Dogs deserve heaven more than we do.

Sorrly about Katy. I'm crazy about border collies, they're the most intelligent and loyal of breeds.

A glutton for punishment I lost two in the past and have yet another, Nacho, 5. Since I retired we go almost everywhere together. The most loyal of friends.

17, you and Katy had a long time together, that's extremely old for a dog. Sure you'll meet up again someday.

  • I am gonna comment every November 10 for Katie

  • x.x, looks like a good dog, love your other video's too, this dog reminds me of my older one, her name was Sandy, she looked like Katie did in the first picture, long shaggy hair but she was orangish, very old though, she found our house after a hurricane so we saved her, and she lived for 4 more years, she was probably 16 or something, we had to put her down recently, she even let me sleep with her when we were running from Hurricane Francis.

  • Very nice dog !

  • I cried and cried while watching this...our first Border Collie Blitz had to be put down in July of 07,she was only 9. I miss her so much.
