The RB-36H flew into Chanute AFB IL in 1957 and was on display there till closure started in late 92. It was disassembled and put on rail cars to the then-open Castle AFB for their display. Well luckily even though Castle closed they were able to create a very nice air museum and rework the B-36 properly. I saw that big thing everyday when I was on Chanute retraining in 83 and while an instructor from 85 to closure in 93.
