The Do-Re-Mi song can be played in any key, just as any song in the world can be. If played in the key of C, then DO is C, RE is D, etc. I don't think it matters if you are in France or Italy or the US. The major scale for any key works for the Do-Re-Mi song. The first DO and last DO are exactly one octave apart. If you don't believe me, do it on a piano starting in G, using F# instead of F for the next to last note. You will find that it works perfectly.

@LoveMyPadres Not really... than you should call it root note 4th and 5th as he does for the rest of vid,,, DO doesent mean Root... DO means C as SOL means G, SI is B, D is RE, F is FA, MI is E, LA is A ... At least that's how it is with the french notes... Perhaps you in the USA use DO to call any Root Note... However in Italy and in the other countries that use the french notes system we dont... let me know... I'm Curious!

@NastyArtProductions Um, that's only in the key of C. The DO is the root of whatever key you are in. So in G, it's G (DO) A (RE) B (MI) C (FA) D (SOL) E (LA) F# (TI) G (DO). It all depends where you start the run.

@NastyArtProductions you are right: DO is C, RE is D, MI is E, FA is F, SOL is G, LA is A and SI is B

@rob6666 Ok ummm, wow. First off I was only making my own opinion. I personaly don't like rap, and making that opinion is my constiutional right. Second, there is no reason for obligitory comments. I for one could easily stoop down to your maturity level and- YOu know what? Fuck it. Go fuck yourself asshole.

@LordoftheNight66 I was with you until you said rap is not music. Fuck off elitist.

Too bad G is not a DO! It's a SOL! C is DO!

@ChestnutCreeper I totaly agree, im almost done with my first year of theory, and it is tough. Learning the intervals and all that jazz (no pun intended) was easy, but wrighting out music is a lot harder than it looks. I hate people who are like 'music isn't so hard', well guess what, it is.
P.S. Rap is not music

@DiegoLechu That's a not a Flea Bass...Not even a Fender..That's a Hamer Cruise Bass :)
Theory is important.
Don't get me wrong, a passion and eagerness for playing the music is great, but a background with theory will really take you far with both composition and improvisational jams.
You've got the wrong attitude if you're looking to play music.
