This questioner starts by quoting his own poetry: 'A university seminar that increases knowledge with knowledge, and a scholar filled with proficiency, is like a university which calls upon every living body (without a soul) and a university that is calling to salute/cure the hearts.
And the question is:
Q:Which one is better to enter for the student with a completed college/high school grades;
A science University such as medical or the University of shari'ah (religious law)?
A:The Muslims are in need of
Mostly the science of Shari'ah
And that matter is obvious that he must worship Allah and knows the truth of Allah
And he is also in need of learning other sciences such as medical, engineering, mathematical and other matters that might benefit the public.
We're are in need of that.
And whoever learnt something good which benefit the people
And he uses it to obey Allah the Almighty
He's therefore rewarded and praised/thanked
However he is not permitted to overlook the sciences of shari'ah
One must learn the sciences of shari'ah
And must learn what professes him to his religion
And if he learnt medicine or any other studies that are permitted (in Islam),
And those ones that Muslims are in need of,
then that is something needed and praised
(? Audio not clear)
And you! You know yourself, your preferences.
If you are able to study the sciences of shari'ah
and its understanding then that is better and more good for you.
And better for your future
So if you have an interest in that (shari'ah)
and learnt in shari'ah what makes your understand your religion better
(speech not clear)
And if you chose medicine or other sciences which Muslims are in need of
then that is not a problem
Work on what you prefer
whilst keeping the fear of Allah (taqwa) and steadfastness
As well as learning the beneficial knowlegde (shari'ah)
through revision and by visiting the library and friends
and by asking the people of of knowledge
Dont prioritise your work on sciences of medicine, engineering and others above the shari'ah
but rather join study circles, revision, wrtitng, asking, reading and other things.

  • This is precisely why the muslim world is lagging in every single domain , they value religion more than knowledge/science/art.

Even the tacky Dubai hotels are conceived by americans , the only wealth muslim countries have is the oil under their feet and the export of their war manual aka Quran

    Very sad

  • @Snutih Its actually the other way round if you'v studied history or even bothered opening a book.Once the Muslims started to value their religion more than ANYTHING THEN they became successful I'll let you read about the Muslim scientists. What the majority of Muslims are doing now is focusing on other things & forgetting their Lord and that He is the ONLY source of success.Under the Islamic empire(s) Muslims were practising now they'r not hence they'r failing in EVERY SINGLE "DOMAIN"!

  • Barakallahu feek bro, one of my favourtie videos, ive decided to do islamic studies insha'Allah and then maybe later some sort of college or something, or vice verca, wallahu 3alam.

  • @Dawah2Islam Wa feeka baraka Allah. If you're going to do Islamic studies here then be careful please.I have done one previously at one of the biggest Uni's here in UK and it changed lots of people.Alhamdulillah I was blessed to get to know some good people who directed me to the right path mash'Allah with the grace of Allah ta'alah otherwise I would've been like majority of those students a sufi now.But it depends where u study.May Allah help you, ameen!

  • @manhajalsalaf laa akhi i plan to do it in al-madina insha'Allah, but im not sure if i will go coledge before hand or not... (and i plan on doing 6th form in East London Mosque Insha'Allah), right now i go to a kafir school and the 6th there is mixed, but the rest of it is boys only. Wa barakallahu feekh for the advice bro.

  • @Dawah2Islam Excellent mash'Allah. I was going to say if anyone wants to do real Islamic studies it has to be in an Islamic country not in the west obviously. I was too naive back then so didn't understand that its not ok to study Islam here. Almadinah has one of the best universities al-jami'ah al-Islamiyyah.I pray that Allah ta'alah helps you in talab al ilm and the rest of us ameen.

  • @manhajalsalaf As salaamu 'alaykum, there is much proof for what you have said, in studying the authentic books of history of Islaam one will see that this is when the muslims were most successful , when they refferred everything back to The Book and As-Sunnah (The Way/ Path/Teachings) of Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu 'alayhi was sallam). Our brother Haneef Oliver emphasized this in his book :Sacred Freedom.

  • @manhajalsalaf ameen and thanks for the support bro, much apreciated barakallahu feekh

  • @cherrycoke622 wa iyaak. I asked this question many times too as you get pressured here to study at the university. Its tough.

  • Jazak Allahu Kheiran I asked myself this question Subhan Allah
