Although some of what she said may have been correct her tone and attitude reflected a racist bias. Everything else was blatantly racist. I am White and i find this appalling. Because there is a black president being racist is fine? I think she needs to recant and make a more appropriate apology than " "I didn't intend to hurt people, but I did. And that makes it the wrong thing to have done" it was wrong on a much deeper level than that.

I have never heard of Dr Laura before but based on this interview I CAN''T STAND HER! She was patronizing and talked over the caller and didn't let her finish a single sentence and then turn around and said the caller wasn't letting HER speak! That annoyed me more than anything else! She just made snap judgments on this woman without even hearing her out! GAH

As a white person, it's easy for Dr. Laura to sit there and say this caller doesn't have a sense of humor. Yet Dr Laura herself is half-Italian, and was offended when a caller made a derogatory remark about Italians. Kind of changes the perspective, doesn't it?

@dtrager2 Sounds like you have fallen for political correctness mumbo jumbo. Dr. Laura's tone and attitude come from the frustration of dealing with people who have been conditioned to overreact to issues like this. Why can't we just have a colorblind society?? Doing things like celebrating 'black pride month' are divisive. I couldn't imagine a 'white pride month' that didn't smack of racism.
