Is this a piano or organ roll?? Who made the roll, and what is the number? I have a player pipe organ that uses 88 note rolls like, and it would sound cool! Hope to hear from you soon!

I found one of these on ebay! its in non working condition and in antique white. but im very tempted.

I saw one of these in a home one time, and no the pedals do not move. You could hear the pedals very clearly the same as on here. The one I remember had stop tabs across the top and were pitched at 16' and 8' only. It was unique to say the least but not my cup of tea.

It's a shame to waste a good player mechanism on such an organ. But it does give value to that little Kimball. I used to sell those 40 years ago when I was in high school. I still like the "samba" rhythm and bossa nova.

There is no 5th movement of the gothic suite!
This is the 4th movement, the toccata.

does it use player piano rolls ? are are they special rolls just for the organ ?

it can play both. the organ rolls are 88 note format but of organ arrangements. There are some minor control perforations too for volume and tempo adjustments

Another Kimball design was the use of photoelectric cells where the tones were provided by shining a light through the etched glass resembling the waveform. It did a good job of sounding like a pipe organ. Biggest problem was the bulbs burned
out very quickly. This was in 1962. Anybody remember it ??

I thought that was a Baldwin design? Then there was the Optigan - same principal.
