I don't see whats wrong when all are having a bad laugh. Living in Wadala is tough specially if courses are over and you have lab to take care of.

By the way - no one will have "negative" impression about TIFR , all such so called reputed Indian institutes are more or less same when it comes to accommodation for research students . besides people do have sense of humor.

Prestigious depends on who you are comparing it with.
As far as making good arrangements for students, I don't see how stuffing two students into the smaller Brahmagupta rooms can be viewed as good arrangement. They don't even have the brains to reserve the larger rooms for this purpose.

@muthusid i am not insulting anybody here, not the viewer atleast. but you have to agree that some students may think twice before coming here. not that anybody is pointing a gun to their head and forcing them to join TIFR for PHD. and then making them stay at Wadala etc etc.

It is funny no doubt. but i shud stop at that.
no one has the right to malign the name of TIFR. Wadala is a great place. Many ppl stay there and TIFR has made all the possible arrangements for students comfortable stay.
who needs TV? by the way? when whole day is supposed to be spent in the institute?
its a prestigious institute and the future students shud not get affected by some1 's comments.

@toponsarkar I understand your point, which is that some people might get an undesirable impression about TIFR.But please consider, are we really that insecure, that we're afraid of a 4 min video, which is based on a universally recognized theme for parody, would undermine an institute which is more than 60 years old and is internationally recognized for quality research. Also please don't insult the intelligence of the viewer, people can judge for themselves what is the truth and what is humor.
