  • such a cute lil guy :)

i bought an axolotl a few days ago

    but he wont eat :(

do u hav any advice for me???

  • Hello, try him on something like a small piece of prawn, or a dillie (small fish's sold frozen at pet shops) and use tongs or fingers to offer it right up to his nose. Their eyesight is not good, so he will be able to smell it this way. When i first bought Bob, he didnt eat for two weeks, then i tried the above and it worked. He wont eat pellets or blood worm, so i stick with prawn, muscles and dillies. Let me know how you get on!!

  • Where can you get these? Are they expensive? Is it possible to get them in America? Do they live well alone? Can you get them in California? My friend really wants one! She asked me all these crazy questions! lol

  • plz watch my vid need advice on kepping them. if you say a good name i will sub u and call my fish it. plz plz plz plz

  • hi

  • well,I was thinking on getting two or three of them myself,I got my information on an i-net site, which ias german, the right temperatur would be 15° celsius, and since they could grow to ca. 30 cm,you should have an big aquarium with lots of space on the floor.and how often you feed isdepends on how big it is,because when it is smaller, the metabolism is faster,so they eat more, but it slows down over time,so you need to feed less

  • @charlietruman i have a question i am thinking of purchasing an axolotl and i needed to ask how many times a week should i wash it. what temparature the water should be and how many times a week i should feed them because people are saying that you only feed them 2 times a week but i dont believe that..im scared ill starve it. =(

  • please reply. i recently bought a new axolotl. i put them in the same tank. they are the same size.i watched for awhile and one of them kept biting the others tail. im not sure if there a boy or a girl their both around 6 inches. i have read that some stores sell tiger salamander larvae under the name of 'axolotl'.ones is black and one is blackish/charcoal grey. i am concerned about this. i have not heard of this before,

  • Aww!! I love that spongebob is saluting him!

If i were you id go to a vet and ask help. It may be fungus. Easy treatment, for fish. So dont use fish meds on this little guy.:)

Make sure you have a filter in your tank, otherwise there will be fungus for sure. Also check the water every week/month.

Don't wait too long, just go to a vet asap!

Make sure you wash your hands with soap after putting m in the water.:)
