Nebraska WR Kenny Bell gets called for unnecessary roughness against a defenseless player (DB Devin Smith) in the 2012 BIG 10 Championship Game. It was a legal hit by Bell, with no helmet-to-helmet contact, rather shoulder-to-solder contact taking place. The penalty negated the touchdown Nebraska scored on the play (thanks to Bell's block).

This is the epitome of a football hit. It was perfectly clean, shoulder pad to shoulder pad, he never left his feet to launch himself into the player, no helmet contact. It doesn't get any better than this.
