Keilor is 6'7". In high school, GK went out for basketball, tripped over his own sneaker and was cut. the next year tried football but couldn't do a single push-up, was cut.
Joined the Home-ec club and was an instant star, was even able to turn the oven on.

garyowen, you're silly...but now, when i listen to keillor on the radio, i notice that he is singing an awful lot. thanks to you it's starting to annoy me. :o i still like him singing with joe ely, however! and c'mon, guy noir and lake woebegone are still pretty funny!

in the 80's and most of the 90's keillor was a laugh riot, then some fool told him to sing,,,now we got Melancholly Lurch, RIP garree,,,,Limbaugh was a laugh riot during the clinton follies with paul shanklin spoofs, RIP El Mushbo,,,,,and the cruelest cut, a KINDER, GENTLER, POLITE AND THOUGHTFUL DON IMUS,,,,,,RIP lunch room humor Imus!

Gary i may not agree with your opinion about what's happened to Keillor, or with your politics, but i will defend to the death your right to it. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Personally, i really enjoy listening to Keillor sing. In this case, he couldn't have a better duet partner than Joe Ely.
