Women speak out on the war in Afghanistan. Nooria talks about growing up in Afghanistan in the 70s, returning to Afghanistan after the US invasion, the Karzai government, the marital rape law that was passed in Afghanistan, and the effect of US troops on women and peace in Afghanistan.

  • After reading "Three Cups of Tea", I became convinced that Afganistan needs school, teachers, doctors, nurses, farmers and builders instead of soldiers, unless the soldiers are there to protect and train the people. I am hoping that this is what President Obama has in mind. God and Allah bless the people of Afganistan and Iraq.

  • I love it, A true refflection of civil, free and democratic life in pre war Afghanistan. My own family memebrs male and female has similar experiences of joyfull and free life throughout Afghanistan. We need more and more publicity like this to correct the misrepresented image of Afghans and Afghanistan, Garden of Central Asia and Later known as little Moscow.

  • From what I've seen most of the Muslim world during the 60s and 70s was very progressive, modern and had a bright future. But everything has turned upside down, for Iran, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Egypt, etc. If Iran had been going the way it had been going during the 60s and 70s without the revolution and the wars it had to go through, it would have been like Germany right now. I wish I could see what countries like Iran and Afghanistan, etc., would look like right now if things stayed stable.

  • Corrections, you are still beautiful, inside out.

  • You are totally right my brother!we have had a wouderful life and we used to enjoy the freedom of speech, religion and everything. But today they represent afghanistan as a disaster to the foreign world. Our culture and tradition is very unique and even the pashtoon used to be very open minded. The biggest problem is Pakistan and saudi arabia.we have to get rid of pakistan and try to push the war to its territory.Zindabad Afghanistan
