I'm so glad you made this video and i could actually see and understand how to start twists as twists. "Braids by Sabrina" didn't explain or show closely enough how to. she just kept reiterating that "twists start as twist, not braids", smh

i am so glad i finally got to your video. The lighting is bad but your technique is great.

Thank You! I just did a twist, it came out great. Makes me feel like I know what I'm doing. I just learned how to do box braids and Senegalese twists about year ago. I love braids and its an accomplishment to finally do them myself to save $. Now adding kinky twist to the list! :)

what kind of hair did u use?

I like this video it is very detailed and I like to learn anything that can save me money on getting someone to do my hair. I wanted to know what kind of hair would you use if you didn't like that first kind of hair. Did you cut them are did you use the length that it came with?

I always wondered how that was done with out being braided....I learned something ...thank you
-
orrrr u could come do my hair lol but reall good job

Did you use human hair or synthetic... Im new at using weave in my hair and i just want to make sure i get the perfect look for my kinky twists.. i want it to look shiny and bouncy because ive seen some kinky twist that look very dry and hard like dreads and thats not what im looking for... so please help me out ... thank you :-)
I don't add hair anymore. At the time I was growing out my relaxer and had both relaxed ends and natural roots. So I added hair so that it'd be uniform. I do it all with my own hair now.

What kind of hair did you use for this demonstration? I love the outcome!

@ChristTreasureWife
It is Bobbi Boss Jamaica Braid Hair. (I won't use this kind again, it was a bit too bulky for me.

Are kinky twists that same as Senagalese twists just different hair which makes them appear different ?
MiisPeaches 1 year ago
@MiisPeaches Yes the hair used is one difference but also the way the twist is started. Senagalese twists are always started by twisting ( like I did in this video) but sometimes when people do kinky twists they start by braiding the first 1/4 inch.

Hey ladyair i thought that when u brought the kinky twist hair you where suppose you separate each twist so it wouldn't look so bulky when you twist it in i see you didn't do that and your hair looks great so are there different sizes of twist you can buy

Yes, some packs are like that and some are not. The Bobbi Bos was not the kind that you can break down into smaller sections. They were pre grouped and kind of matted together already, you just pick 1 up and start twisting. They would have been fine for most people but I have dense & thick hair and it was a bit more bulk than I was seeking. In the end after I sealed them they looked fine though.
