@katel88 first, you need to learn the difference between a joke and sarcasm. secondly, yes, it is patently absurd to think that without european immigrants to the new world, indians would still be "living happily in their tee-pees, disease-free." you ARE aware, are you not, that Indian tribes often warred with each other? Indians were killing each other long before europeans arrived. Disease was present before their arrival, too...many Indians died of tuberculosis and dysentery.

you think that native-americans killed off neanderthals? Sorry but no. You see, those two groups of people existed in totally different periods of time, they never interacted with each other. Also, the quality of life enjoyed by native-americans was exponentially better than the lives of neanderthals. Louie CK has a great bit about native-americans/white people. @turningundead what the pro-illegal immigrant crowd doesn't like to talk about is that their very presence and willingness to work for substandard wages artificially deflates market wages. of course no American (or Aussie) is going to clean toilets for 2 dollars an hour...but illegals will work for slave wages. Remove the illegals, and employers will be FORCED to pay market wages once again....virtually everyone is willing to work for market wages.
