I never intended on covering this set as a bog standard cover. I have the utmost respect for the peatbogs but for me i thought most would find it very un-entertaining if i just covered it in it's original form.
I have always been curious about how something like this would work, as i always liked the idea of over dubbing and layering drum track's on top of each other. Not only that but i have heard of some drummers using the technique of recording seperate parts of their kit(eg. cymbals, percussion, flam's) and then piecing it all together, so i thought i would combine the two curiosities and see how it would turn out.

pretty cool, altho it sounds like the snare part is just a tad off. and youre right, there are some producers (pretty sure its Phil Spector im thinking of) who want total control over every part of the recording, so theyll go through the whole song and just play each individual drum or cymbals portion.

Thank you for covering this; it's one of my favorites, and essential listening on the way to work in the morning.
