Ok, I know there's no group on this so it's not technically doo wop. This sounds a WHOLE lot like I'm Going To Cry by Arthur and The Corvets (Arthur Conley's sang lead on that)

  • I only knew of the Ben E. King version too, and I am a Goffin/King historian, Any idea what year this was?

  • I would say somewhere between '63 and '65. I can email Dobby and ask about this

  • Yeah, he has a unique vibrato, never heard anything quite like this.. beautiful.

  • Look for Sweet Dreams by him.. It's a really beautiful song

  • @snap07801 his contact is here: dobbymusic[dot]com

  • Love this guy and all his music, thanks for putting up his great tunes.

  • My research shows that it was likely recorded in 1965. If you know have contact with Dobby, let me know if he agrees.

  • Just brilliant!

  • A Goffin - King song, too!
