quiet music is a completely improvised recording project. Vocalist Inga Liljestrom had long been thinking of this project, to improvise a stripped back desert inspired music that explored space and atmospheres conjuring the desert at night,the starry clear skies, the heat and sweat, and a romantic pining, where incidental sound textures such as paper shuffling, chair squeaks, and creaking floorboards played an equal role to the musical notes that were played.
