The jet which impacted the WTC Tower I; - North Tower, 2nd hit was guided in by laser. This can be seen by following the bright spot of light which was focused on the tower and which drifts to the (west) on the building just to the west, once the plane impacts WTC I.
The next point to note is that the ABL jet (white) follows thru on that trajectory path, and is seen circling around to the east of the WTC area.
This proves that the ABL was in the vicinity.
The ABL laser is approximately 9 inches in diameter, and in this video it was used for laser guidance, to guide in the second jet which impacted WTC tower I.
The FULLY functional ABL platform is still under development, this means integration of the newer COIL lasers, tracking systems, atmospheric collimation, and turret ball operation are still being developed on the YAL-1A, 747-400F based system.
However, successful tests of the predecessor prototype air mobile ALL [A-L-L, not a typo] platform were demonstrated in 1996.
