Perhaps the sin would 'get in' because it's the action of a sinful human making the synthetic life. Interesting concept and thanks for the video.

To me yes. The mistakes that adam and eve is not just genetic but also knowledge. Plus since I believe human have broken moral compose any thing they create in terms of humanoid creature have the same flaw. The creation can not exceed the creator in it abilities. I believe that soul is created by god for each human or humanoid creature.

Well im pretty sure Jesus died for our sins...and if we sin now its on us, not Adam and eve...interesting about life from nothing...God could have created life from nothing...and a unknown natural event could have caused creation too...if science is able to create "life" from synthetic material, it would be as an object with no soul, therefore it would have no sin...even if it kills a million people.

@stonedcommander Thanks for the reply Stoned, that is close to my taking on the matter of created life but to me it brings up other questions, would a created human be in any way defunct without a soul, it would for example clear up the problem of whether the soul is intrinsically linked to conciousness. If 'it' has no soul then presumably it can not go to hell or heaven for that matter. I have opened a can of theobiological worms and keep coming up with questions and problems with this idea.

Do Jews even believe in original sin? I doubt that they do.

@123Atheist you are quite right original sin in a Christian construct and the Jewish faith still stands that mankind is capable of 'deciding' on living a good life while Christianity teaches that mankind is a slave to sin and even with no conscious acts of immorality is still born into a life of sin.
