wow... this is moving. im a young carer too. dad got an odd illness. i started self harming through alot of things.but his illness was one of those on top.i would have been around 12 aswell.i have young carers to thank now. but i still get the times where i cut out of fear for his health and the like. its really hard and not on just the carer and the person whos ill but even our friends and such. its hard to say i cant do things because of dad.

My mother is an alcoholic i also used to self harm but my boyfriend stopped me I can't tell anyone and where I live I can't get help.

You have alot of insight into your problem. I am so glad that you have support. Take control of your life and enjoy living... you deserve it! You are in my prayers.

Your not alone mano, there are many young carers out there as myself, there is a young carers project going in lancashire based in ormskirk welcoming people in this situation. its for people like us to get time to meet people like us, discuss our feelings and have fun

hey there mano..thats an amazing video..we watched it today in our social policy lecture based on carers and young carers themselves. your video brought a tear to my eye, i was wondering that is an amazing song in the background. wats it called? x
