Influencer Marketing: Networking with key influencers to create brand awareness

For many of my clients, developing brand awareness is the #1 priority. My approach is networking and igniting relationships with key influencers, whose traffic aligns with the clients demographic targets.

My first step is research to determine if the key influencer would be interested in the product.

For example, I connected with Tiffany Windsor at Cool2Craft TV. She is a talented craft maker and very well known within the industry. I noticed that she was very active on Twitter. Therefore, I ignited a conversation with her on Twitter referencing her blog entries that focused on technology and crafting, creating a cross walk to my client's product and key selling points.

After a few tweet exchanges I then pitched the idea of how we could partner with each other for a giveaway campaign. She loved the idea.

As you can see here, this is her blog post about the giveaway. Our goal was to get the word out about our new product and have people talk about key selling points. As a result, to Enter the giveaway, users had to leave a comment.

And what results! We had over 207 comments, 87 Facebook posts.

This is an example of a successful outreach campaign to develop brand awareness while connecting and networking with key leaders.
