An all time great number from this diamond jubilee hit. Rafi Sahab never looked back after this movie (till a mild lull in the mid 70's). Incidentally Naushad sahab also used Amir Khan and D.V.Pulaskar for playback, though most of the songs were by Rafi Sahab

A marvelous melody in Malkauns by Mohd Rafi! Shakeel Badayuni's lyrics and Naushad's rival with Rafi's sensitive rendition for excellence! We the listeners are the beneficiaries of the trio's stupendous effort. One can never get tired of listening to this masterpiece. I never have been able to move on without rewinding the song atleast three times every time I hear this anywhere.

c'mon.... how somebody sing so perfectly. rafi saab was the greatest. his voice: immortal. just listen this song @ 2.10. listen that word 'ka baaj' seperately. impossible.
