An extremely popular Girl Guide song sung at any event from campfires to Guide's Own. This song has to be my all time favourite Girl Guide song (thus my username), reflecting all of Guiding's values and then some.

  • this is a little depresing and creepy

  • @DOMOllCRAZY the recording isn't the best. And it's different when it has meaning for you.

  • I'm a girl guide coming up on 9 years fron sparks to pathfinders this this song is my favourite by far! it's very close to me. I just thought i would share that.

  • @LoveBettyBoop100 thanks for sharing!

  • Hi, my name is Shannon and I was just wondering where you were from? I'm from New York and I'm a Ambassador Girl Scout. I know that Girl Scouting and Girl Guides are very similar. We sing this song a lot at our campfires group gatherings, We have a bit of a different variation, but it is remarkably close. I think it's amazing to recognize how small the world is knowing that we all aren't that different at all!

  • @Shanny8287 I'm in Canada, where Girl Scouts is Girl Guides, and Boy Scouts is both boys and girls... (and called just Scouting)

Anyways, it's wonderful to know the two organizations still mesh in many ways.

  • ive been in Girl Scouts since 3rd grade im now 22 and ive been to so many wonderful places and i have so many friends because of it i wouldnt trade any of my time in GS for anything

  • I wanted to be a Girl Guide when i was a Brownie last year.. :(

  • thats fantastic! yeah staying in guides is so worth it

  • I have been a Girl Scout since 1st grade. Back then, nobody really cared. But, now entering high school, kids will tease you about it. But, girl scouts is much more than that. It's about treating yourself and the people around you with respect. I have met so many fantastic people along the way. This song basically just tells it all. We work hard to play hard. I am so proud to be able to celebrate 100 years! See my fellow girls at Savannah this April! Save me a swap to trade! xoxo.

  • I remember in my Guiding days, that we would say this (not sing it) at the end of campfire rather reverently with fewer verses, as if we were saying grace. I never heard it sung before I came across this video, but it works very well as a song. Thanks for posting this. I almost forgot about it until now, and I've always wondered about the words because our Guiding unit leaders would teach it to us verbally, and never wrote it down.

  • Im a Guide i just love this song!

  • @62loveday You're welcome
