  • @xxeonn Next to a fuel truck, within metres of a hanger, a fence, and other people, at such a low altitude with no room for error, and all while swinging the tail around rapidly. Either a real natural of a first time flyer is at the controls, or a drunk instructor teaching a first timer bad habits.

  • I flinched at how close that tail was to hitting that building. looked to be only a few feet away when looking at the shadows for a distance reference. . . I could be wrong tho

  • Bit of a bad instructor, he could have easily caught the tail rotor on the shed behind. Hope you enjoyed the lesson though.

  • @pyramidhead138 Right there with you except for the Weight problem I have.

  • Yeah well, my previous comments were a little bit harsh, although I'll stick with saying that thats not the way you should do an intro flight as an instructor - in my opinion anyway, because you're flying like a cowboy and although you know the area around your tail and you know you're not going to hit anything, you're safe, but you engrave that kind of flying in the guy's mind...and he'll remember it, and maybe even try it some day...

The problem is, its not a safe style of flying habit. Period

  • is it hard to fly a helicopter

  • I didn't think anyone actually flew HP's

  • Yeh right,,,..... Lesson 300 mabye!

  • Yes, but please man, don't try to tell me BOTH were actually flying the chopper?? Both were in the chopper, but both weren't actually handling the controls (and if that were the case, then I wouldn't recommend that instructor either!)

Keep yourself alive and you'll live another day to fly

  • most people solo in a 22 after 20 hours haha, going to be an expensice license for you then.
