Embriodery Machines

This is best if you see it on "full screen". This is the Hamilton Embroidery Company's machines. We toured the factory during our honeymoon, in 2007. The factory is located in Union City, New Jersey.
This video/slideshow includes the three embroidery videos previously posted.

This factory has 10 Schiffi machines, 10 Saurer machines, 1 Epoca machine and a sample machine.

On the Saurer machine, there are two tiers of needles - 495 needles on each tier; Total Needles = 990.

The patterns are created using "punch cards" (punch cards are the predecessors of computers).

The owner of the factory had just passed away in 2007. It is run now by his son. His son has no intentions of "upgrading" to computerized machines - these run just perfect!
