I did think of this song on Saturday night.
I have also wondered what this song has been about, and the bit about
" eating their ice-creams / going for a walk "
has often made me wonder if this song was written from the perspective of a dog !!!!
I am supposing I am wrong about that ? !

This, Grey Day, Embarrassment, and That's the way to do it (a.k.a. Odd Job Man) were in Take it or Leave it. Grey Day in scene where Chris is serving Mike tea in the morning and finds out Suggs can't make it, Embarrassment while Chas is walking in the dark after Mike dropped him off suddenly, and That's the way to do it while Suggs and Lee are trying to plaster a wall. All in Take it or Leave it.
