MAGNIFICENT County swept Sheffield Wednesday aside to bring the curtain down on the season at Edgeley Park in spectacular fashion.
Failure to beat the Owls would have given the Hatters two more unwanted records. They would have become the first team in football history to fail to win a game on a Saturday and they would have equalled the lowest number of home wins in a season, 4, set in 1969-70 and again in 1973-74.

Worst Wednesday team of the last 20 years were on the pitch that day. Only four decent players then were Ndumb-Nsungu, Lee, Brunt and Wood - the latter two of those four were on the bench!
