  • Nice video Bernie. I am curious as to why you locked the last strand in the fall knot that way - going under the previous knots. I learned to take it through the fall itself but your way makes sense to me. It looks like it would be more secure your way.

  • @jeffroseborough Another whip maker Russell Schultz shared this with me about 10 years ago and he had learned it from an old whip maker that he knew.I think it is more secure and it doesn't leave the strand exposed to be hit on the ground like it does with the other method.

  • Good video, as usual, Bernie. As an amature whipmaker with only a few whips under my belt, I like to see how the Pros do it. This is my favorite part of whipmaking: tying on the fall.
