This video was a group project in my Junior Studio in the Virtual Technology & Design Program at the University of Idaho.
There were five of us working together, and my roles included directing roughly 1/4 of the camera shots, modeling and texturing of the basic environment and a few of the details, animation of Rodney the Rat up until he is lifted into the air, and animation of the flaming hand.
The project was simple: Make a video of a better mousetrap in action, using Rube Goldberg's style of overcomplication as our style.
After our initial design phase was complete, the instructors found the content to be too offensive to produce. We asked them to reconsider, and they countered with a challenge: If you choose to do this video, you will either get an A or an F... nothing in between, so be sure that you can pull this off before you decide on it.
We got an A.
