I have an Australian friend and he can be cool, but i never started disliking Australians before him. Are all Australians pompous arrogant pricks, because with this guy every other word is nothing but cynical sarcasm and it truly does get old. Let me just say a couple of things.

First of all, Australians arent trying to say theyre better than any other race of people, we are just patriotic. I dont see what is so terrible about being proud of your homeland.

Second of all, while we mistreated indigenous Australians for hundreds of years and we clearly cant take that back, I would say that we have improved dramatically, and the country pays respect to many indigenous Australian people, not just Cathy Freeman.
