@TehPankake I had no checking account, no debit card, only a savings, yet I got charges over 3 months totaling $435. So this is way beyond watching your p's and q's and your account balance.

Manage your accounts, and keep track of how much you spend. If you can do these two simple things (I know I started back in middle school), you will magically avoid overdraft fees! Amazing how much money and hurt you can save yourself; try this if you overdraft frequently.

Wells Fargo can just go into your account and take money for themselves without your consent. Their fee system is corrupt. But they continue to get away with it because they have our government leaders and the consumer by the balls. If anyone else was to go into your account and take money from you, that would be stealing and/or fraud.

the bank does authorize your payment, but then your account goes into the negative. So yes your payment goes through but it's essentially your fault for not having enough money in your account to cover that payment. in the first place.
