Wow, I always liked this song for arcade and NES but always felt there was something wrong about the instrumentation. This version is way better. Thanks so much.

nice one this helped me finish of a video give yourself a gold star and a smiley face.

@rhythmsetionwantad I like how the MSX version of 'Destroy Them All' almost sounds like there's a choir, sort of like Gradius III.

Great game, great music!

reminds me of the old gaming days. such an awesome soundtrack.

Another note: Tthis version of Slamander also has my favorite version of the song "Destroy Them All"

What I find interesting is that the Same SCC1 chip is apparently used in the Konami VRC6 mapper for the Nintendo Famicom for games like Akmuajou Densetsu.

Konami does some amazing things with the SCC chip on the MSX, it's true. You should look up the channel of oldskoolgamertje right here on youtube, the person has the original SCC soundtracks to Nemesis, Nemesis 2, Gofer no Yabou Episode 2, Space Manbow, Metal Gear, Salamander, Contra...

Yes... I know about him. Only thing is that I think his recordings have the SCC's sound channels too loud compared to the MSX's PSG processor. Or does my recording have the PSG too loud?

I think you're right on that. percussion is a bit hard to really notice.

Most people don't seem to know how to configure their MSX emulators(although they all seem to use blueMSX). Case and point: volume balance between the SCC chip and the MSX's PSG sound chip: most of the time, people put the SCC chip too loud. Another example: if you look at most playthroughs of Metal Gear on the MSX, the music is slow because blueMSX defaults to the setup of a European PAL MSX, which runs slower than a Japanese NTSC MSX. Seems like nobody sets up their emulators correctly.
