www.markerickson.com The paintings represented in this film are recent works on canvas and steel entitled, 'The Mercury Series.' They are intense in color and composition and the surface quality has to be seen to be believed. The music 'Perdido' by 'The Quintet' is phenomenal. A one time live event that brought together Dizzy Gillespie on trumpet Charles Mingus on bass, Charlie Parker on alto sax, Bud Powell on piano and Max Roach on drums. Recorded live in Toronto Canada on May 15, 1953. Truly a beautiful show.

  • beautiful work :]

  • a beautiful film...the paintings are wonderful....I love how the colors are dancing in front of the black background...the music fits like it was composed only for this purpose....excellent pieces of art, nicely presented!
