Both Pennsylvanians passed by us while we waited to head back to Strasburg from Paradise.

Im confused. Why did they use same track? I thought the tracks were only used for "one way." Was there track repair happening that day?

@trainman584 yeah im not sure what was going on, but 43 came by slow and switched over to track 2 at leaman which is visible from where we were at and then 42 came through.

@trainman584 I think the reason why Amtrak had single track operations in this area is they were installing the wires for the crossovers for the new interlocking in Atglen. I rode this line a week before this video was posted and the train my mother and I were one switched over to westbound track in this area. On the way back to Harrisburg I noticed a catenary maintenance vehicle on the eastbound track at Atglen Interlocking.
