  • I needed to know what Bushnell looked like in 1982 for a particular personal project, but listening to what he had to say showed me that he had a firm grasp on the implications of what he was doing. While some of his business decisions had be "corrected" by lawsuits, many by Ralph Baer, the true father of the technology, he really did deserve to be one of Newsweek's "50 People That Changed America."

  • These hosts think only one dimensionally. Its sad when someone focuses on a common media problem as they mentioned "addiction to video games", but really overlook the advancement that this technology has helped evove, such as major retailers of graphic cards, cloud game technology, etc. Nolan was a pioneer beyond his time and realm. Maybe not the father of the first video game system, but certainally he revolutionalized the video game industry, which led way to Ninendo, WI, Xbox, etc.

  • This dude is awesome.

  • Dude's a rock star. Pefect blend of entreprenuer, genius, visionary and risk-taker. Straight conceptualizing bad-ass. -Kids, this is what life's all about. -Go out there, know what they hell you're doing, have faith in yourself, and make some millions. This's the stuff I freaking love about America.

  • @vote4bobdull false...

if anything steve russell.. is known as the 'father of the video games" when he released spacewar!

  • Nolan Bushnell is another famous Mormon inventor. The inventor of electronic television and stereo sound where also Mormons!!

  • nolan fail did not create the first video game system and did not start the videogame era thankful for Ralph H. Baer and his invention of the first ever home videogame system he is the creator and pioneer of the videogame era and anyone who disagrees doesn't know there video game history. Nolan Bushnell fails. nolan bushnell needs to grow a pair of balls and remember he got owned in court by ralph h bear remember all you kids and adults ralph h baer is the pioneer and inventor of the video game
