Dear Devotees,
please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

Puri Maharaja, one of the very few trusted godbrothers of Srila Prabhupada settles the ongoing debate Ritvik vs living ISKCON Gurus once and for all.

Srila Prabhupada states, that unless you get ordered by your Guru, nobody can become a Guru by some high court or GBC decision:
"Brahmānanda: He's asking when did you become the spiritual leader of Kṛṣṇa consciousness?
Prabhupāda: When my Guru Mahārāja ordered me. This is the guru-paramparā.
Indian: Did it...
Prabhupāda: Try to understand. Don't go very speedily. A guru can become guru when he's ordered by his guru. That's all. Otherwise nobody can become guru."
[Lecture on BG 7.2 -- Nairobi, October 28, 1975 http://vanisource.org/wiki/Lecture_on_BG_7.2_--_Nairobi,_October_28,_1975]

This memory narrated by Sri Puri Maharaja explains clearly why the so called Gurus in ISKCON keep falling down:
The are simply conditioned soul, who imitate an Uttama Adhikaryi devotee like Srila Prabhupada and consequently suffer the sinful reactions of those they initiate. Srila Prabhupada warned against this in his writings, because both the fallen leader and his followers will go to hell.

So it is much better to follow Srila Prabhupada as one's Guru, than to risk initiation by a false guru.

With kind regards,
Bhakta Robin

  • Risk is good thing in bhakti!

Much better to find a guru who accepts you, answers your questions and chastises you.All of the Archaryas, including Srila Prabhupad recommend this, rather than listening to dreams and mind etc while still a conditioned soul who was recently a savage. If you need to leave ISKCON to find one, so be it. If not, otay! "There are many associations of pure devotees"==SP, Nectar of Devotion. Trust in Nitai-Gauranga They will help. Search for Sri Krishna!

  • @j0eX Well Srila Prabhupada has already explained that all questions are answered in his books... Most of Srila Prabhupadas 1st generation disciples never met him physically(in his vapu) and only associated through his vani(teachings). So this physical present Guru Myth is a lie... The Uttama Adhikary Guru is already there: Srila Prabhupada... Of course there are also other pure devotees, but for ISKCON nobody is Diksha Guru other than Srila Prabhupada.

  • @Tamoharadasa It's my pleasure to associate with you :) Well I had my time as a crazy devotee too. Luckily I chant the Sri Vishnusahasranama and this Mantra made me sane. Now my realization is that Krishna is sort of self organizing the devotees. No need to argue or fight endlessly. People who are destined to get an unqualified Guru, will follow him no matter what you say. Preach to the innocent, avoid the wicked and trust the guidance from the supersoul within. There are Gurus who are authorized

  • @BhaktaRobin You reply with self control even when i push the envelope a bit. That is a good sign! Thank you for your nice replies. Haribol, see you about soon, sir. This video is a nice service.

  • @Tamoharadasa Well Swamiji is not an Acharya. He told me he is initiated into Sri Sampradaya. Personally I go with whatever the Guru says, since his order is the active priciple of spirtual life. I also have a Maha Vishnu Yantra on my altar(So no Lakshmi Alone). I think I am more into Rama lila, since the ISKCON devotees gave me a Hanuman Deity from Vrindavan. Durga,Shiva,Hanuman,Ramachandra are all present in the Rama Lila. There are not only Acharyas, but also emp. gurus. Think outside the box

  • I humbly suggest that the advice received was materially motivated. Persons seeking to cheat will worship Laxmi without Vishnu. They wish to usurp the wife of Lord Vishnu, like the banksters worship money. They get ahead , but they take rebirth for sins. Dont forget that the Guru Brhaspati of Bali maharajah advised him not to surrender to Lord Vishnu. A real Sri sampradaya acarya will NEVER advise worship of Laxmi Devi without her husband. What? She is prostitute, for your pleasure?

  • @Tamoharadasa Thank you, I know the different Sampradayas. After I left my previous SP bogus disciple Guru, I contacted a Guru from Shri Sampradaya and asked him what to about my material problems and he told me to Worship Shiva and Lakshmi(not Shiva-Parvarti). The daily Deity worship helped me a lot. So I am not sure which Sampradaya I belong to. I worship Lord Chaitanya, but I have no attraction to Radha-Krishna worship. Swamiji also told me to chant Sri Vishnusahasranama and it helped a lot.

  • @BhaktaRobin Well said, sir. Also, Laxmi devi is the wife of Sri Vishnu, you said Laxmi Shiva here. Parvati Shiva is more correct. There is a Vaisnava sampradaya from Siva called the Rudra sampradaya, and an other via Srimati Laxmi devi called the Sri sampradaya. Putting Vishnu's wife with Lord Siva is a new idea. Hare Krsna movement is Brahma sampradaya.
