  • First of all.. "Night Tracks"??? CLASSIC. I can flash back now to being a teenager in Atlanta and staying up too late watching videos. And this song was also one I had on that cassette mix tape. And here I am now living in the Sacramento area. Small world.

    Nice post (video)....

  • @TresFives ... That's funny... I grew up in California (Humboldt/Del Norte Counties), lived there when this came out... and now I live in Atlanta! (Since 1991)... Night Tracks was awesome. That theme music, and those voices put me right back in my teenage years every time... lol

  • Wonderful song. This could *never* be played on top 40 stations of today, obviously.

  • @djdavemick ...for sure... for one thing, the music, the chord progression, are FAR too complex! Isn't that sad? Not simple enough for today's listener.

  • This song is a CLASSIC .. love Brents vocals and the keys are SMOLDERING ... would LOVE to hear him perform this song live ...

  • @razrramone ...yes, the chord progression just tore me apart when I first heard it in 1990!! It was powerful.

  • @rockybudgeboa I agree. This past decade the music mostly just sucks. There's way too much rap and singing whores like lady gaga.

  • I just wish I could find the mp3 for this.

  • somehow this only got to # 32......should have been # 1.......love this ..great times ..

  • Brent sang the harmony with Robert Palmer when he redid Marvin Gaye's "Mercy Mercy me" - a rather difficult tune to sing - Marvin as Palmer says was "one hell of a vocal technician". Understatement.

  • I first heard this song in 1992 on the radio and I loved it. I tried to find it on cd or cassette but all the music stores I went to never even heard of it. Back then though they didn't use computers to find music titles like they do now.

  • I miss the 80s and 90s!!!!

  • One of my favourite songs ever ...thanks for sprucing up the audio, Tre404!

  • reminds me of my college days...

  • This song had been running in my head for over 11 years! I didn't know the name of the song or the artist...I would hear it at casino I used to go to late at night in the 90's and it's been running in my head ever since! I googled a couple of lyrics and Wow-found it! Such a hauntingly beautiful song! Absolutely love it and it's hard for me not to play it over and over again!
