This song frightened me when I was a kid! The string arrangement is very scary. The 2003 version is much gentler, but makes the point just as well.

If one looks sometimes at the text, the vicious social criticism strikes one with which Jethro Tull described already in 1968 social mismanagement where becomes clear that the sense of Christmas giving and do not take is and any Christmas party really the most important is not - this all one are factors which removes "Christmas song" from the traditional christmas songs and makes so irresistible.
