I love this film and think that it's one of the most overlooked and underrated Fantasy films since 2000 (along with Stardust and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen). Visual effects were decent. Nicole Kidman was stunning and very beautiful villainess. Dakota Blue Richards and Daniel Craig were great too. Hope they'll make a sequel

can anyone tell me, are they actually going to make the subtle knife? i read on tons of sites saying its going to be release in 2009 but phillip pullman said pruduction hasn't even begun. i know they might not make it because of the box office flop but they might as well make the subtle knife because if they do , they dont have to worry about time because its a short book and if they managed to put the golden compass under 2 hours then i dont see a reason why they cant make the subtle knife.
